Matching Bars and Chains by Brand

Why a STIHL bar won't bolt to a Husqvarna — and how mount patterns work.

Matching Bars and Chains by Brand

Pitch and gauge size the cutting parts; the mount pattern decides what bolts to your saw.

Mounts are brand/model specific

The bar’s mounting slot, stud spacing, and oil-feed hole position are designed for a family of powerheads. A STIHL small-mount bar won’t fit a Husqvarna, and even within a brand the mount changes across saw sizes.

Start from your saw model

That’s why every listing here is tagged with the equipment it fits. Pick your brand on the Brands page, then confirm your exact saw model in the fitment list before buying.

Universal where it’s safe

Chains are more portable than bars: any chain of the right pitch, gauge, and drive-link count will run on a matching bar regardless of saw brand.
